Walking into Fair Park in Dallas for the State Fair of Texas, it was exactly what I had imagined. Locals from all over the DFW metroplex, lots of fried food, and lit up amusement park attractions. The food was great from the iconic Fletcher's corn dogs to the fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I recommend going on an empty stomach, that way you can try all the food the fair has to offer, and you don't miss out on anything. Also, check the weather before going. I REPEAT... CHECK THE WEATHER BEFORE GOING!!! Shortly after taking the picture above, it started pouring rain. Due to a tornado warning and lightening all the ferris wheels and rides were shut down, ending my boyfriend and I's date night early. Regardless of the weather ending our night early, it was an amazing experience. Being a signature event for the city of Dallas since 1886 & having an annual attendance of over 2 million, it's event you don't want to miss.
