Halloween 2019 was a big holiday this year in the world of celebrities, so I took the time to make a list of my favorite looks this year.

Halima Aden

This is one of my favorite looks because of how good her makeup is making her look almost identical to Disney's character Maleficent. Her makeup artist did a great job enhancing her face structure to give her Angelina Jolie's signature cheekbones.

Kim Kardashian West

ree

Kim K as Elle Woods was my favorite costume look for 2019. It was very clever of her to choose this look since she herself is studying to become a lawyer, so it was a very fitting look. She took it to the next level by not only dressing up as Elle Woods but also recreating the characters video submission for Harvard Law school. This look is definitely a 10/10 for me!

Ashley Graham

ree

The character of Jessica Rabbit is a look that celebrities every year try to recreate but only a few truly pull it off. Ashley did a great job with this look from the makeup to the hair to the dress. She didn't over do her eyebrows (where all celebrities ruin the look), and showed a good amount of cleavage without taking the look too risqué. This is a classic Halloween costume done right.

Nicki Minaj

ree

Nicki Minaj just nailed this look as Harley Quinn! In my opinion she wore it better than Margot Robbie, the character herself.

Kylie Jenner & her Friend Group

ree

I saved my second favorite for last. Kylie Jenner and her friends including Stassie Karanikolaou, Sophia Richie, Victoria Villaroel (Kylie's assistant), & Yris Palmer (celebrity lash extension tech) stepped out as the Disney Princesses and made a statement with this look. This is one of those looks that we'll look back to in a couple years and still be obsessed. 100% iconic if you ask me.

It's that time of year, as Black Friday specials start being advertised we start to wonder what we're going to gift our loved ones. Below I made a list of a few gift ideas to give your special ones.

1.) Bath & Beauty Products

Ulta and Sephora are 2 great stores to turn to when trying to give a gift your girlfriend, sister, or mom. Both those stores have high end & affordable beauty products. As a girl I always want more makeup, skincare & hair products. Here are a few things to pick up:

ree

Better Than Sex Mascara, $25 at Sephora and Ulta

ree

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater, $12 at Sephora and Ulta

ree

Olaplex N6 Bond Smoother, $28 Sephora

2.) Candles

During the holiday season bath and body works has great sales on their candles like, "buy 2, get 2 free". So it's a great time to stock up your loved ones with holiday candles, because who doesn't love a great smelling room?

3.) Headphones

Whether we use them for the gym to workout or to just tune out any sounds, we all need headphones at times when we don't want to listen to our music out loud. When gifting headphones Best Buy is a good store to go.

ree

Beats by Dr. Dre- Beats Solo 3 Wireless Headphones, $164.99 at Best Buy

4.) iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro

We always try to keep up to date on our iPhones, so the holiday season is a great time to buy the newest phone, because most of the time Apple releases their new products during this time.

ree

iPhone Pro 64GB, $999 on apple.com

1.) Fast from your phone

In this time you can read a book, draw, or journal. It's great to unplug from social media, sometimes without knowing we start to have unhealthy feelings (jealousy, envy, & loneliness) because we as humans have a tendency of comparing ourselves to others on social media. Keep in mind! Social media is a highlight of people lives, meaning we share our best parts online not the bad times. So never compare your life to the best parts of others peoples lives. Fasting from your phone is a great way to maintain good mental health

2.) Wash & moisturize your face, hair, & body

As a college student I always have something to do or to turn in, as hectic as life can be we cannot forget to take care of our bodies & pamper ourselves. Your skin is your bodies largest organ, therefore it's very important for us to moisturize daily and apply sunscreen to protect against UV rays. Just don't forget to take care of your body no matter how busy your life is.

3.) Clean your room & wash your sheets

Coming home to a clean room after a busy day is one of the best things to come home to. After a long day at school/ work the last thing you want to see is a messy room, so doing little things in the morning like making your bed can make a huge difference at the end of the day. Washing your sheets at least once a week is really important because your sheets accumulate sweat and dirt. When we lay our heads on our pillow case we are then putting all of that built up bacteria on our faces, which then causes breakouts.

4.) 8 Hours of sleep as a routine

Make sleeping 8 hours or more a daily requirement. I know sometimes life just doesn't allow that, but there's also times where we just lay in bed for 3 hours on our phone and we could be using that time to rest. If we don't rest our bodies we're more prone to excess weight gain & heart disease. So don't forget to get plenty of sleep

5.) Stay hydrated

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to boost skin health, flush out body waste, and aid digestion. If you want something with flavor drinking tea is a great alternative, as it also has lots of health benefits.

Take time for yourself, I've never heard someone say. "I regret taking such good care of myself."
